The main purpose of this post is to rejoin our Chandigarh Cycle Polo Team and participate into what best we can do for this game which given us alot of memories, lessons, confidence, new friends, etc…

T.A. Strikes Again Seniors at Bhilai

Number one team of India Territoral Army won the 31st Senior Nationals Cycle Polo Championship held at Bhilai(Chhattisgarh). Air Force won the 5th Federation Cup also held at same venue.

Chhattisgarh won the 24th sub junior by beating Kerala in Final.

If you are in Chandigarh then its good news for you that now cycle polo is introduced in schools Last year and this year Inter schools of cycle polo also going to held at Govt Model 22. If you are interested to join and play cycle polo then you can come to following ground at 4.00pm daily (Except Sunday)

Cycle Polo In Chandigarh

In Cycle Polo you need to hit ball from right hand either your right handed or left handed.

 

We can take ball from both side but you cant change stick to other hand still same (Right hand). This means there is very hard parctise need for this game.

This is front shot and very important shot in this game you need to play safe while hitting.

This is line up pic where you can the player from both side will ride cycle through the “T” drawn in center. One team will hit left side and one will hit right side. Right and left side is decided by Toss.

Here you can see Ajay (In Blue) is trying to defend ball from me.

This time oman is defending ball but he is on right side of the ball so he will use left side.

Cycle which is use in India. As you can see this is normal Indian cycle but very strong. In India we dont use any type of gears and disk brakes in our cycle. Everything which is not use to ride cycle is removed like mud guards, carrier, stand, chain cover etc. As many player also dont have front brake in there cycle because this is in right side so there is danger to hit brake in hand.
